Google keeps on upgrading its SGE. The recent announcement by Google, dated October 12, 2023, is a new update in its Search Generative Experience (SGE), where there is a greeting image generated through AI and Search with SGE.
It is evident that the Search Generative Experience (SGE) technology is still at an early stage of development. However, there is the possibility that it will transform how we search and interact with the information.
Therefore, the reason behind this update by Google is to assist the users in visualizing ideas and writing content. Hence, the primary objective of this upgrade by Google is that users get involved in many activities other than searching for something “like making an image come to life or helping with writing ideas when you need a starting point.”
Create images with generative AI
In this new update, Google will enable users to create AI-based images from queries by users.
Google’s example: “Suppose you wish to create a greeting card for your friend who loves to cook and whose favorite animal is capybara. You type, for instance, “draw me a picture of a capybara wearing a chef’s hat and cooking breakfast,” then SGE will display up to four AI-generated images in the results.”
Upon clicking any of the images, one can see the description that Google automatically created out of your initial query like, “a photorealistic image of a capybara wearing a chef’s hat and cooking breakfast in a forest, grilling bacon.”
Upon choosing the edit option, you can then edit the description of your choice and have your ideas come into being.
Now, it becomes easy for you to generate an image or bring your ideas to life.”
Furthermore, SGE is also coming up with another fabulous tool that will create images directly out of google images. You can see this feature pop-up whenever you search for some inspiration like “minimalist Halloween table settings”. The images generated by this technology come with metadata labeling and watermarking which shows that they are created by AI.
The above-mentioned tools of Google have the safeguards feature that ensures that these images do not have any harmful and deceptive information in them.

AI-Powered Writing & Searching for inspiration
In this update, the company will introduce the written drafts option to SGE to help users in getting writing suggestions and inspiration in long searches.
Here users will be able to request SGE to write a note or draft that will be useful for them in making the search shorter or in informal language. Furthermore, once the draft is ready, it will be very easy for users to export it to Google Docs or Gmail and the same privacy protection features of Google Docs can also be used here.
This feature is available only in English and currently accessible only by selected people from the United States along with those who are at least 18 years old.
